A vegan sweet ‘pick me up’ at morning tea or dessert after dinner is one of the joys of eating. When I first started down the vegan path, I thought that butter and eggs were the most vital ingredients in a cake; however, that’s not the case. I admit a few cakes went in the bin during the experimental stage, but persistence has resulted in the consistency and balance needed with oils and egg replacements. The result? Delicious!

 

The sweet treats featured are healthy options of many traditional dishes, most contain minimal fat and sugar. They are treats that your non-vegan friends will enjoy. Therefore introducing your friends and family to a “Gently Vegan” way of eating can definitely start over tea and cake.
